You're doing a great job ;)

What do you think is biggest barrier to start a SB in germany? Law and provisions, understanding, mentality.?. Why are so big diffencences between different countries, on how fast the movement ist moving?

Great question! Please tell us in case there is anything else you would like to know!

We have just started (2 months ago) a first social business in Baltic Countries called MAMMU. More info: www.mammu.lv

My 2 questions:
How to attract social business investors?
Can Grameen Creative Lab support new social business ideas to spread?

Thanks,
Andris

Hi Andris. Let us know whether we can help you get in touch with our partners in Estonia or want to attend a Social Business Lab. All the best, Birgit

How are the social businesses in Haiti going? and how will they affect Haiti in the long term?

Thanks

Jose, Madrid

Hey Jose, great questoin. I hope you got our answer. Anything else you want to know?

Just a short Hello from Dortmund.
We are offering in Germany, as the first "Social-Franchise-System", an SB-Modell for enthuseastic entrepreneurs, that are seeking to do something concrete, but didnt have the money, idea or resources to start an own SB: http://www.citiaction.de/fuer-systempartner/

Dear Sophie, Dear Birgit,

I work in the consulting business and I recently talked with a friend about Social Business. During our conversation two questions came up:

1. Social Business is defined as a Business that does not take donations. So how is it possible that an investor gets only his money back? This way he looses the interests rates that he or she would normally get when the money was in the bank. So SBs actually do receive donations, don't you think?

2. Wouldn't you agree that the incentive for investments in SBs would be higher if there was a dividend? Do you have any example where the investment in SBs did increase over time?

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me!

Patrick S. from Boston/Bonn, USA/Germany

Hey, I hope we answered your questions. If not please let us know! Best, Birgit
