Following his participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Professor Muhammad Yunus will come to Milan on 1 February, acknowledging the city's dedication towards becoming a social designer.
As the economic center of Italy, and especially as the host of the EXPO 2015, the city of Milan is well positioned to create increasing awareness about hunger and poverty, become a hub for social innovation, and foster the development of social businesses in Italy, Europe, and throughout the world over the course of the next five years and beyond.
As part of his visit Prof. Yunus will hold a public speech to talk about his groundbreaking concept of social business, which is one of the most effective tools to end hunger and poverty. The event is hosted by Mayor Letizia Moratti and will be accompanied by Red Ronnie as well as musical performances by Paola Turci and Erica Mou. The event addresses ~1,400 people from various backgrounds and will take place in Teatro Dal Verme on 1 February, at 8.30pm.
Prof. Yunus' speech will be livestreamed by Corriere della Sera, which is one of the largest Italian newspapers. The GCL will publish the link to the livestream on this website on the day of the event.
