The Grameen Creative Lab with approx. 20 participants took part Saturday, July 4th in the Old Forge in Wiesbaden. Participants of all ages and from varying backgrounds - everybody from students to creative heads to fond managers - were present and had the common goal of actively taking part in eradicating poverty and forming society. After an introductory presentation by director Saskia Bruysten and volunteer Nicole Karlisch, the participants took a deep dive into the "3 question round". Three people each asked and answered each other three question about the topic of Social Business. Questions about poverty in general and the definition of poverty in industrialized countries have been discussed actively as well.
The morning concluded with a Q&A session with founder Hans Reitz on the hot chair. During the afternoon, the participants worked in small groups and derived potential social business models for the following topics:
- Job entry possibilities for women above 40
- Social debt collection
- Economic models for San Patrignano (a drug rehabilitation center in Italy)
A delicious lunch from the Afghan restaurant Fasan kept everyone happy despite sun and heat outside...
The GCL team is already looking forward to the next Grameen Creative Lab and hopes you will take part in it! Time and place of the next Grameen Creative Lab will be further detailed.
