On 4 November 2009, Professor Muhammad Yunus kicked off the beginning of an exciting week of events for his visit to Germany by first visiting the Grameen Creative Lab's (GCL) Wiesbaden office.
Among meeting his staff of dedicated, hardworking volunteers and various other meetings, Prof. Yunus was present to sign the papers which officialize the creation of the GCL as a joint venture between the Yunus Centre and circ responsibility. The Yunus Centre owns majority share of the GCL with 51%, while circ responsibility owns the remaining 49%.
Just two weeks ago, the GCL was officially registered as a GmbH (Limited) under German law, and this makes the Grameen Creative Lab the very first social business GmbH!
