My current project is to establish the Social Business as a theme within the social sciences, and create a social theory to explain the emergance of the Social Business as an organisational concept, In doing this, I also want to develop methods of social analysis that enable Social Businesses to better understand the impact that their work is having. Ultimately, this should help to diagnose and reduce negative side-effects, and improve on the delivery of positive effects.

I am also investigating the emegence of socially-orientated investment funds, which could offer an alternative to the joint-venture model which prevails to date.

As soon as my PhD is done (or perhaps before then), I want to get down to business myself. (I'm already feeling quite impatient about that, but I like to finish what I start....)

What do I need? To be honest, I feel the need to be connected to people who have a similar view of the world and a similar objective. I've been feeling quite isolated in my work, and would like to start to share with others.

What can I offer? I've lived and worked in three different continents, in a whole range of positions. I reckon I can adapt and learn just about as quickly as anybody. I have a huge stockpile of experience, energy and creativity to spread around. It would be cool if people just decide to ask for help. I'm always open to new challenges...
