Volunteer for Academia

 
The Grameen Creative Lab (GCL) has several collaborations and initiatives with academic institutions worldwide, including Kyushu University (Japan), Istituto Europeo di Design (Italy), National University of Singapore (Singapore), and European Business School (Germany).
 
The aim is to work with international and domestic universities and instiutions of higher education to spread the concept of social business in the academic world, and encourage and foster further research and practice into social business.
 
 
Your role:
 
You will be based in Wiesbaden, Germany. Working as part of a team with your project manager and other GCL consultants, you will:
 

  • Assist with the preparation of proposals to universities as relevant
  • Research relevant academic-based conferences for GCL to attend
  • Help coordinate research trips to visit social businesses on the ground in countries Grameen is active in, including Colombia and Bangladesh
  • Assist in writing concepts for online lectures on social business
  • Research and prepare breakout sessions for social business labs at universities
  • Help develop social business coursework to be distributed to university partners

 
 
Your profile:
 
As well as the criteria listed on the general recruitment page of this website, the following additional criteria will be an advantage:
 

  • Strong academic background
  • Good knowledge of universities in Europe and worldwide
  • Good understanding of social business
  • Strong research skills
  • Other language skills are a plus
